Selling Your Home

Making the decision to sell your home is a big one and not one that should be taken lightly.   You should first consider your reasons for selling your home.  Are you needing a bigger space, have you had a life change and are relocating to another area?  Is your home no longer affordable after a life change?  The next step is determining your timeline for selling your home, do you have a deadline by which your home must be sold?   Do you have a goal in mind that is more flexible.  These are important factors which we will need to consider during our first discussion about selling your home.

Additional questions you may want to consider before our first discussion are things like are you planning to buy again locally, are you needing a referral to an agent outside of our immediate area?  Are there any legal considerations like a divorce decree, estate plan or will that must be considered.    Is your home in an association and approval to sell is required? 

Financial considerations are last but certainly not least.  Selling your home will hopefully yield you a healthy return.  But considering things like capital gains and other taxes or judgement payments that are due should also be considered.   Taking control of your finances and planning for your future are of the utmost importance when considering to sell your home.
